How Dexicards card prices work
Where the figures come from, which numbers Dexicards shows, and when they refresh.

1.Where the prices come from
Dexicards shows prices from two marketplaces: Cardmarket, in euros (EUR), and TCGplayer, in US dollars (USD), for every game. Prices are recorded once a day.
The two markets are never blended into one price. Every figure is shown under its own market, in its own currency, for one variant of the card.
Cardmarket vs TCGplayer prices explains why the two markets’ figures for the same card differ.
Yu-Gi-Oh! is priced per card, not per printing: each market’s figure is the lowest price across all of the card’s printings, and the card page lists those printings.
2.What each figure means
A card page lists each variant in its own row, with these columns for each market. Only Pokémon cards have the columns after Market; for the other games each market has one figure per variant, shown as Market.
TCGplayer (USD)
- Market: TCGplayer’s market price for that variant.
- Low: TCGplayer’s low price.
- Mid: TCGplayer’s mid price.
- High: TCGplayer’s high price.
Cardmarket (EUR)
- Market: for Pokémon, Cardmarket’s average price for that variant (its “avg” figure). For the other games, the one Cardmarket price available for that variant.
- Low: Cardmarket’s low price.
- Trend: Cardmarket’s trend price.
- 30-day avg: the average over the last 30 days.
A dash means the market has no figure for that column. On narrow phone screens the last column is hidden to make room.
Every term is also defined in the glossary.
3.Variants are priced separately
The same card can be printed in several finishes, and each finish has its own price. Dexicards uses these variant names: Normal, Reverse Holo, Holofoil, 1st Edition, Unlimited, 1st Edition Holo, Unlimited Holo, Poké Ball, Master Ball, Foil, Etched Foil.
Cardmarket and TCGplayer name finishes differently. TCGplayer, for example, separates 1st Edition and Unlimited printings, so a variant can have a price on one market and none on the other. The glossary describes each finish.
4.When prices refresh
Prices are refreshed every day at 03:00 UTC. Each card page shows “Prices as of” a date: the newest day a price was recorded for that card.
Every priced card has a price history chart covering the last 30 days. How that history is built depends on the game:
- Pokémon: The chart is drawn from the dated Cardmarket and TCGplayer price history recorded for each card.
- Magic: The Gathering: The chart is drawn from dated Cardmarket and TCGplayer prices, which reach back 90 days.
- One Piece: The chart is drawn from the dated Cardmarket and TCGplayer price history recorded for each card.
- Yu-Gi-Oh!: Only the current Cardmarket and TCGplayer price is available, so Dexicards records one point per day itself. A card’s chart starts on the day Dexicards first recorded its price.
- Disney Lorcana: Dexicards loaded the previous 365 days of Cardmarket and TCGplayer price history once, on October 12, 2026, and has recorded one point per day since.
5.When a card has no price
A printing with no market listing shows “No market price yet”. Some printings are sold on only one of the two markets, so they show figures for that market alone.
6.What Dexicards does not do
- Dexicards does not sell cards and has no listings.
- It does not show stock or availability, and it has no affiliate links.
- It does not show prices for graded cards.
- Nothing on Dexicards is financial advice.
Portfolio values are estimates built from these prices and the purchase details you enter. See the Terms of Service for the full conditions.
7.Questions
Where do Dexicards prices come from?
From two marketplaces: Cardmarket, in euros, and TCGplayer, in US dollars. Dexicards records their price figures once a day, at 03:00 UTC, for every game.
Why do only Pokémon cards show Low, Mid, High, Trend and 30-day average figures?
Because those figures are only available for Pokémon cards. For Magic, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Disney Lorcana each market has one price per variant, which Dexicards shows as Market, with a dash in the other columns.
Why are the Cardmarket and TCGplayer prices different?
They are separate marketplaces in different regions, with their own sellers and listings. Cardmarket prices are in euros and TCGplayer prices are in US dollars, and a card page shows each market separately in its own currency.
How often do prices update?
Once a day, at 03:00 UTC. The “Prices as of” date on a card page shows the newest day recorded for that card.
Why does a card show no price?
Because neither market has a price recorded for that printing yet. A printing with no market listing shows “No market price yet”, and some printings are listed on only one market.
Can I see older prices?
The site shows the last 30 days. Each card page has a price history chart for that window.
